I will be attending the Santa Fe Photography Workshop next week to improve my photography skills and in turn improve my skills at teaching photography.  I am really looking forward to this workshop!

July 12-14, 2016

The 2016 Youth Leadership Lab took place last week at Prairie View A&M University and I attended along with youth and adult volunteers from Travis County.  I helped out with chaperoning the youths from Waller County as well.  There was a variety of educational and recreational activities for the youths to participate in.  Some of the highlights include a trip out to the farm to meet the goats and a dance out on the pavilion where the youths could dance, play basketball or volleyball, and meet new friends.  It was also great to attend the awards ceremony on Thursday and see Bethany 4-H's very own Makalah Adams receive a SALE scholarship to attend Prairie View A&M!  She started class the very same week.  Seeing an awesome transition like this makes this job all worth it.  Congratulations to Makalah and to everyone who attended Youth Lab.  I hope to see you all back next year for Youth Lab 2017!

A visit to the goat farm was very popular.
