Bethany 4-H also brought their creative Earth Day Display out to Travis County's Earth Day Event that was held at the Commissioner's Court Building last Wednesday.  We outreached a large number of participants and let them know about all the great things that Bethany 4-H has been doing for the community!

The East Austin Garden Fair was held this past Saturday at the Parque Zaragoza Rec Center.  Travis County 4-H was out in force at the event, helping to promote 4-H and giving out healthy snacks to the attendees.  We had the 4-H Capitol Program out there with the blender bike, blending up some healthy smoothies for people to try out.  A few of the members even dressed up in fruit and veggie costumes and had a creative song and dance routine to promote fruits and veggies!  I also brought out the popcorn machine and some of the 4-H Club members helped me to pop and pass out popcorn.  Bethany 4-H also brought their Earth Day Display to help generate interest and bring people over to our booth.  Overall, it was a successful event that was well attended.

As part of our monthly 4-H Club meeting for Bethany 4-H, we held a photography workshop which consisted of taking the kids next door to photograph the trees they planted at Oak Springs Villas back in the fall.  We got some excellent photos along the way.  Additionally, we also worked on the Earth Day display that we will use at the East Austin Garden Fair on April 16th and the Travis County Earth Day Event on April 20th.

Here are some photos of the display as well as some highlights of the photos the kids took:
