This was our first day back at Galindo 4-H after the break and it was the kids first day back with the chickens.  Needless to say, they were glad to see us!

Today for Fulmore 4-H, Chloe and I took a rather lengthy walking tour of the neighborhood around the school, including a stop at the Larry Monroe "art bridge".  I also taught Chloe how to use the shutter speed while taking photos of the flowing water under the bridge and then we made a stop by the Academy, a historic Austin landmark.  On the way back to the school we even met a friendly dog!

It was another cold day (go away winter!) so we stayed inside at Fulmore 4-H to practice taking photos.  A new student, Miguel, participated today and so I gave him the full overview of photography and he practiced taking photos in the hall.  Here's one of me:

Today I will be updating my blog with photos taken so far in the new year, 2018.  Let's start with Fulmore 4-H, where our first day back was January 11th.  It was a rather cold winter day, so we opted to visit the store Monkey See on South Congress to stay out of the cold, windy conditions as much as we could.  We practiced taking macro photography and posed photos as can be seen below.
