This was the final day for the STEM Academy at the summer school after school program at Brooke and today the kids tried their hand at designing a Rube Goldberg machine.  It was difficult, but they had some good ideas.

We also had a chance to set off our final rockets from the Rocketry project for an enthusiastic audience consisting of the other kids in the STEM Academy.  Here are videos of the launches:

For the past couple of weeks, I have been teaching STEM subjects to the after school program at Brooke Elementary.  Students have learned about bridge building and rocketry.  Today, we were able to shoot off one of the rockets the kids made in class, much to the amazement of their classmates.  Here's a photo and a video of the launch:

Today was the big day at Blackshear Elementary!  The fifth grade class celebrated their graduation with friends and family.  I was on hand to wish them well and to photograph this important day as well.  Congratulations, Blackshear 5th grade!
