It was an unseasonably warm January day in Austin, TX, and Brooke 4-H After School made great use of the day by going outside to work in the school garden.  Mr. DeSanto, a teacher at the school, taught the children how to get the soil ready for planting and taught them how to plant seeds in the soil.  He also instructed them on how they could extract seeds from the dead okra plant (okra is an annual) to replant and grow new okra.  I would like to share some photos of the kids at work and thanks to Mr. DeSanto for an excellent presentation:
